Becoming the Working Parent You Want in 2023

Hi working moms and dads –

I have a question for you: How are you feeling about the whole work-plus-kids thing in 2023?  Are you:

·      Generally ok, but wishing you had some more effective moves to fit work and family together?

·      Determined to take charge, change things up, and move towards better this year – and re-thinking your whole working-parent game?

·      Feeling a little (or more than a little) tired or burned out?

·      New at the working-parent thing, and wishing someone would just hand you the playbook, already?

If so, you’re not alone.  Every working mom and dad grapples with combining career and kids – and wherever you are right now, I’ve got you

I’m Daisy Dowling and I’m an executive coach who specializes in supporting working moms and dads.  My mission is to help you succeed at work and get ahead in your career, be the kind of present and loving parent you want to be, and to stay healthy, whole and yourself in the process. As your coach, I’m going to share techniques, tools, stories, hacks and perspectives that will let you do just that: combine career and family – in the way that works best for you.

Eleven years ago, when my first child was born, I was working as a career expert and advisor inside a big successful corporation – but I had NO idea how to manage my schedule, or the stress of a demanding job and new baby, or how to tell colleagues that I needed to miss the big meeting to get to the pediatrician’s, or let my boss’s boss know that I was still interested in promotion.

No one ever teaches us how to do great work while being awesome parents – and so all too often as working moms and dads we’re left feeling daunted, conflicted, exhausted, lonely, less-than, or unsure of what to do next.

Let’s change that – one do-able step at a time.  Each week from here on out, I’ll be sharing a specific tip, script or technique that you can use, at no cost and right away, to move closer to being the working parent you want.

Ready to move foward?  In our next conversation, we’ll talk about how to stay more calm and confident, at work at home – so you can achieve your goals in both.
